Top 10 Best SANDBOX games

Hello and greetings from Eastern Europe, my
name is ColdBeerHD and this is a video about a Sandbox games, where they give you tools
and let you run wild with them. Sandbox is a wide term, so I included various
games, some of those are 100% sandbox, others are just 50%, so do not fixate on the term
itself. And also in this list I tend to avoid MMO’s. Not a rule, but just for you to know. Enjoy. Garry’s Mod Let’s start with the true star in the sandbox
universe. This game is really just a giant toy box. Absent of objectives and rules, it provides
players with various props, character models, and a whole load of tools from which you can
create all manner of weird stuff and kinky stuff. The Garry’s Mod community is a tremendous
source of content and has added hundreds of unique modes to the game. Here you can be a plant, a soldier or a vodka
bottle, or just vodka, without bottle. You name it. Spore I think everyone will agree with me when I
say, that the best part of this game is creature creation process. You can make a flying giraffe with four dicks
on its head or a giant floof of gnarble snorbs meant for glittering gibberish. Yes, that’s exactly what I said. No I don’t understand it either. So, anyway it’s up to you what or who you
create. After a creation process you have to dominate
the world by killing weaker stuff than you are. Aha, sounds cool, but it’s boring, so you
just go back to creation screen over and over again and commit some more crimes against
nature. Prison Architect Here you can create your own prison. Tadam! And not prison of mind, where most of you
already live, but real prison with real inmates and real guards and real prison toilets and
prison walls and prison stuff in general. Yeah. This whole game let’s your imagination fly,
but first you have to learn how to connect electricity to the electric chair, because
no matter what your stands in real life about death penalty are, here you’re definitely
executing some nasty inmates just because you can. Minecraft This game has no age restrictions. Doesn’t matter if you’re 7 or 57, Minecraft
can bring you lots of joy. And I mean it. My favorite games are Elder Scrolls, Witcher,
Starcraft and similar ones, created for a mature player, but I had tons of joy building
giant dicks in Minecraft. Back in a days I even had my minecraft channel
with 300 subscribers, and that somehow felt a lot. So, I do believe many of us have tried minecraft,
but if you, for some reason think that this is a childish game, think again. There is nothing childish in building giant
dick skyscrapers. Please write in the comment section what is
your craziest creation in Minecraft. Share your experience with everybody. Universe Sandbox 2 In a sense it’s not a game, but serious
physics and astronomy simulator. But we all know what you gonna do here: smash
that asteroid into another asteroid, smash that moon into that planet, smash that sun
into to that black hole, smash black hole into another black hole SMASH!. Yeah! Or you can create calm nice solar system,
where everyone lives in peace and prosperity and then wipe everything out in an terrible
cosmic event. Games like this shows us that everything we’ve
got can be instantly destroyed by one wandering star and there is nothing we can do to prevent
it. Like absolutely nothing. We’re all alive just because no stars decided
to swing by. Yet. Kerbal Space Program It’s an ambitious simulator that tasks players
with sending rockets into space, colonising planets, mining asteroids, and fooling around
with moon buggies. Game is fun, but also it is hard: here you
have to create your own spaceship, so don’t expect anything easy. It’s a rocket science all right? Building a spaceship here reminds me of creating
abominations in Spore – every detail can be scaled, turned and attached to another detail. So, you have to do everything right in order
to take a space flight. Game has really good physics engine, so you
can’t take off successfully with a giant unicorn or something, but if you practice
enough, you can send giant vodka bottle to the moon. Shape is good, very rockety I’d say. My biggest wish about Kerbal Space is to see
Elon Musk playing it. Can he go to space from the first try? By the way, in 2015 Elon said that “Kerbal
is awesome”, so we know that he at least tried it. Factorio Game is in early access, but actually it kinda
feels like finished product already. It has overwhelmingly positive reviews on
steam, so I can guarantee that you can buy and enjoy this game without fear. Factorio is a game about building and creating
automated factories to produce items of increasing complexity, within an infinite 2D world. Use your imagination to design your factory,
combine simple elements into amazing structures, and finally protect it from the creatures
who don’t really like you. So, what are you waiting for? It’s your chance to make biggest and greatest
vodka factory in in the entire universe. Game is great. Seriously. And now it’s the best time for you to press
that like button. There is no way in the world that you watched
so far and you didn’t like what you see. Press like button and I will marinate herring
in your honor! Terraria People tend to call Terraria Minecraft 2D,
but it’s nothing like that. OK, I’m sorry, it’s exactly like that,
but at the same time it’s very different. Yeah, I don’t know where I’m going wit
this. Here you have the whole world you can explore
alone or with friends, dig deep, fight hard, craft and build – game has everything you
need and even more. Exploration possibilities are endless, world
is huge, and you will never get bored in there. And now, what do you think, which one of those,
Minecraft or Terraria is better? Share your opinion in the comment section. The Forest How strong are your balls? I guess this is not the question you hear
every day, except if you live with your very weird mother, then anything can happen, but
I’m not talking about your strange family, no, I’m talking about The Forest. This game will ask you this question over
and over again, because alongside the sandbox part, where you cut the trees, build houses,
lay traps and freeroam the whole world there is a… cannibal part of the game, where you
have to defend yourself against a clan of genetic mutant enemies that have beliefs,
families, morals and that appear almost human. Nights are scary in the forest, you’ll need
tough ones. Have you any crazy stories from this game? Share them with us in the comment section,
let people who never played The Forest understand the fun of it. Besiege This is a physics based building game in which
you construct medieval siege engines and lay waste to immense fortresses and peaceful villages. Build a machine which can crush windmills,
wipe out battalions of brave soldiers and transport valuable resources, defending your
creation against cannons, archers and everything else. Game looks beautiful, the art style is 10
out of 10. So build your mechanical herring with fins
of terror and destroy some peaceful castles with your marinated hate. And now it’s the time for honorable mentions: Cities Skylines, Astroneer, Surviving Mars,
Fallout Shelter and of course The Sims 4, where you can do crazy social experiments. There is a lot more games to talk about if
you expand the term of sandbox. In example GTA V is not a sandbox game itself,
but you can have great sandboxish fun in it just because death means nothing in there. Also, you gonna be surprised by the sandbox
capabilities of Starcraft 2. You can make entire campaigns here, create
your own maps, even your own games. Yes, you can make a 3D shooter in Starcraft
2 engine or even play Bejeweled in there, the possibilities are endless, and it doesn’t
really matter that this sandbox fun isn’t meant to be the main thing of the game and
it is very very hard to learn. There are probably way more sandboxish games
that avoided this list. If you know some, please share your wisdom
in the comment section, many people will be grateful. And now, I want to invite you like my Instagram,
Twitter and especially Facebook page, where I post not only my own videos, but also links
to free legal games all over the internet. And, last, but not least. Have you pressed that like button? Have you? I’m waiting… I have all day… press it. Do it. Do it. OK, thanks. Thank you for watching and have nice day,

  1. Should have taken Subnautica into this list. At least as a honorble mention as it is at least million times better game then Sims and it is also considered a sandbox game, (open world, resource scavenging+ base building). And Subnautica Below Zero is soon to be fully released.

  2. Best sandbox: Darklands by Microprose (1994). Whole of Holy Roman Empire (Greater Germany), historically accurate to the 15th century in almost every way, and some of the best RPG skills trees in gaming period.

  3. Nothing like a real sandbox. But then people make fun of me, somehow it is not socially acceptable for an adult here…

  4. I like having options you know? Like when a game says “Neutralize this character.” I like having having several options and when each options gives an impact to my surroundings.

  5. your narration made me subscribe in the first 10 seconds, and in the next 9 minutes with 25 seconds i was glad i did

  6. Wurm Online is probably one the best sandboxes out there. With the choice of PvP or PvE, and the long hard grind with end over end tasks you can set as your alliance or yourself. It’s definitely the best

  7. Factorio… game that took away from me nearly 2500 hours LOOL. that and subnautica, while astroneer is on its way up there too 😀 . EDIT: RIMWORLD is fantastic open world game too .
