Welcome back people of Yotube. Let’s have a look at 10 famous Video Game voice actors. MARK HAMILL: BATMAN: ARKHAM CITY Everyone’s favorite Jedi, Mark Hamill has done a lot of voiceover work. Doing a 180 turn from hero Luke Skywalker, Hamill is the voice of the evil Joker in the Batman video-game series, , as well as several TV series and movies. Hamill said “Batman: Arkham City” would be his last performance as the Joker. CHRISTOPHER WALKEN: TRUE CRIME: STREETS OF LA As multi-talented as they come, Walken has performed a wide range of roles. In “True Crime: Streets of LA,” Walken voices George, a father figure to Nick. Walken is also the narrator at the beginning and ending of the game. ELLEN PAGE: BEYOND TWO SOULS Page worked to land her role in “Beyond Two Souls.” Page’s character, Jodie Holmes, was created with motion capture, which required Ellen to wear tiny motion sensors on her face to record all her facial expressions. Page said shooting 40 pages of script a day was her most challenging work to date. KIEFER SUTHERLAND: METAL GEAR SOLID V: THE PHANTOM PAIN No stranger to espionage roles, Sutherland plays a former spy in the new “Metal Gear Solid V” game. Like Page, Sutherland went through the motion capture experience for his role. . Sutherland also recreated his television character Jack Bauer in “24: The Game.” SETH GREEN: MASS EFFECT When playing “Mass Effect,” it’s Seth Green’s voice leading you through the game. Green added the voice to the game’s pilot Lieutenant Jeff “Joker” Moreau. . It is Moreau who helps Commander Shepard fight the Reapers who want to conquer galaxy. RAY LIOTTA: GRAND THEFT AUTO: VICE CITY Ray Liotta is no stranger to playing corrupt characters in numerous on-screen roles. With his smooth voice, was the perfect choice for Vice City’s main character Tommy Vercetti. Liotta said the experience was different than his acting roles because of the challenges recording so many different game scenarios. KRISTEN BELL: ASSASSIN’S CREED If Lucy Stillman seems to resemble Kristen Bell it’s because Lucy was actually modeled after Kristen. In addition to her voice, Bell lent her likeness to the “Assassin’s Creed” character, , having her face and body scanned. This was a role change for Bell who portrayed a genetic scientist in the previous “Assassin’s Creed” games. ELIJAH WOOD: THE LEGEND OF SPYRO Woods was offered the role in “The Legend of Spyro” after agreeing to lend voice to his characters in “The Lord of the Rings” trilogy and “Happy Feet” in both films’ game spin-offs. Woods says he finds voiceover work challenging because of the inflections involved. GARY OLDMAN: CALL OF DUTY With Oldman’s big-screen experience it’s not surprising he’d be appropriate for video-game roles. Oldman had ample experience voicing parts in “The Legend of Spyro” with Elijah Wood. Oldman was cast for two different roles, scientist Daniel Clarke and Sergeant Viktor Reznov, in the “Call of Duty” games. Samuel L. Jackson: GTA SA Samuel L. Jackson voices corrupt Officer Tenpenny in Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas. Inspired by the melding of real-life corrupt cops, terrorists and crack dealers, Tenpenny is instrumental in putting the events of the game into motion. Jackson’s deep voice gives the character a truly maniacal feel and allows players to feel less guilty about blowing things up, , picking up hookers and stealing cars.
